We lost a great guy and great driver yesterday at las Vegas, over the years of going to the Indy 500 I had gotten to know Dan and Susie and all my sympathy goes out to Susie and all of Dan’s family. I have so many fond memories of Dan–his warm personality and ready smile made him a fan favorite, and going to Indy will never be the same. R.I.P. Dan.
I wanted to give everyone an update on why I’ve missed some of the races this season–I got a bad infection in my right leg that has turned out to be more serious than I thought. The Dr. gave me several kinds of oral antibiotics that didn’t do much good. Now I’m in the middle of going to the hospital every day for 10 days and getting a series of IV treatments. I will miss the race on the 18th, but hope to be at the one after that. I really look forward to being back.
Well again its taken me awhile to get these photos posted–I have been laid up but beleive I am mended although I will miss the May 28th race also–Congradulations to Carson McCarl in the 305 division, Russ Hall and Clint Garner in the 360s and Danny Lasoski in the 410s.
Congradulations to Tim Shaffer for his first Knoxville Nationals win, and to all the participants in all the features. It was good to see so many Knoxville regulars do well, especially Brian Brown for winning the pole, and Davey Heskin who led the “locals” with an 8th place finish.
I’m continuing to post photos of the Nationals, but don’t hesitate to email me if I haven’t posted photos of your favorite yet, I also have photos from the wingless races at Knoxville and Oskaloosa to upload. I’ve been asked by several people if I have photos of certain wrecks and to get them on the site so I will be uploading those also.
We were treated to another exciting Knoxville 360 Nationals, and congradulations to Shane Stewart, Sammy Swindell and Jason Johnson for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the “A” main, and all the feature winners.
